Order of the Arrow members are chosen, or called out, on Thursday nights at summer camp during a solemn ceremony. The scouts that are eligible are elected by their peers during summer camp. After the callout, the group of scouts chosen camp out under the stars on Thursday night. Adult scouters are also eligible. It is considered quite an honor to be chosen for the OA.
